Milestone. Probably early C19 for the Carlisle to Cockermouth Turnpike. Whitewashed red sandstone. Rounded-top stone with cast-iron plate to front inscribed CARLISLE 10 MILES, COCKERMOUTH 15½ MILES, with bench mark above.
