Description
Greenwood House is a farmhouse dating from the late 18th century or early 19th century. It features painted stucco walls, which are incised on the ground floor, along with a string course and angle pilasters set on a chamfered plinth. The roof is made of graduated greenslate and has ashlar chimney stacks. The building is two storeys high and consists of six bays; the three bays on the right are likely part of an 18th-century house that was extended and significantly altered in the early 19th century. The entrance has a top-glazed six-panel door set within a prostyle Tuscan porch. The sash windows, which include glazing bars, are framed by painted stone architraves. The ground floor windows to the right of the entrance have been enlarged to create French windows, but they still retain their original architraves and glazing bars. An extension at the rear is considered to be of no interest.
