Description
This is a milepost from the early 19th century, made of cast iron. It has a three-sided design with a raking triangular top. The post features raised lettering on the top and sides indicating distances: 'Lowe'; 'Leek 1 1/2'; 'Cheddleton 1 1/2'; 'Wetley Rocks 4'; 'Hilderstone 14'; 'Sandon 17 1/2'; and 'Stafford'.
