Description
This is a milepost located on Cellarhead Road in Cheddleton, likely dating from the early 20th century. It is made of cast iron and has a triangular shape with an inclined head positioned about 700 millimeters above ground level. The milepost is inscribed with the name "WETLEY ROCKS" and on the left side, it lists distances to "HILDERSTONE 10", "SANDON 13 1/2", and "STAFFORD 18".
