Description
Middle Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the 17th century, which was largely refaced in the mid-19th century. It is constructed from coursed squared and dressed stone and features a tiled roof with verge parapets that have ball finials and corbelled kneeler blocks. The building has two octagonal-shafted ridge stacks inset from the ends.
The farmhouse is two stories tall and has a five-window front, with three-light casements, and one four-light casement to the left of the center on the ground floor. The entrance is located under the center window and features a 17th-century lintel with a 20th-century part-glazed door. The left-hand bay is slightly wider and is marked by a straight joint in the masonry. At first-floor level on the right-hand side of this bay, there is a small painted carved stone head that appears to be from the 17th century and may have been reset.
