Description
The Woodlands is a large farmhouse dating from the early 19th century, with some minor alterations from the 20th century. It features painted brickwork and a low-pitched, widely-eaved hipped roof covered in tiles, which was originally slate. The building has a nearly square main block with three stories and a three-window front, accented by pilaster piers at the corners. The windows are glazing bar sashes with gauged heads, and those on the top floor are of reduced height. A later 19th-century single-storey porch projects from the center of the façade; it has a flat roof and a round-arch entrance with a keystone, set within a dentilled recess. The porch includes a part-glazed door. To the left, there is a lower two-window, two-storey wing.
