Description

The tunnel connecting the stables and Ashcombe Park was built around 1806. It is a stone-vaulted structure that measures approximately 35 meters long, 2 meters wide, and 2 meters high. At the south end, there is a retaining wall and a boarded door. The tunnel was designed to discreetly serve the main house by transporting coal and farm produce.
