Description
Consall Old Hall is a farmhouse dating from the mid-19th century, possibly built over an earlier structure. It features finely coursed, dressed, and squared stone, with a banded tile roof that has a crested ridge and verge parapets topped with ball finials. The building has twin-shafted stacks at the ends, with one stack diagonal to the left and a ridge stack located to the right of the center.
The front of the house is two stories high and has four windows. The left three windows are arranged symmetrically and consist of 3-, 2-, and 3-light chamfered mullioned and transomed designs, with gablets above. The ground floor has bay windows with a round-arch entrance and double boarded doors featuring an overlight. The right-hand section of the house has one window that is offset from the main composition, which is indicated by a straight joint along the line of the ridge stack. There is also a lean-to structure against the right-hand end of the building.
