Description

This is a milestone located 40 meters west of the junction with the B3084, on the north side of the road. It dates from the early 19th century and is made of painted stone with cast iron plates. The stone is square in section with a slightly rounded top and is set at an angle to the road. It features inscribed cast iron plates on two faces, indicating distances to London (71 miles), Sarum (10 miles), and Andover (7 miles).
