Description

Milestone located 50 meters east of the Border Service Station on the north side of the road. This early 19th-century milestone is made of painted stone and features cast iron plates. The stone has a square section with a slightly rounded top and is set corner-on to the road. The cast iron plates display the distances to London (73 miles), Sarum (8 miles), and Andover (9 miles).
