Description

Milestone dating from the early 19th century, located opposite a filling station beside Middle Wallop airfield. It is made of painted stone and features cast iron plates. The stone is square in section with a slightly rounded top and is set at an angle to the road. Two faces of the milestone have inscribed cast iron plates that read 'London 69, Sarum 12' and 'London 69, Andover 5'.
