Description

This milestone, located 30 metres southwest of the junction with Craydown Lane, dates from the early 19th century. It is made of painted stone and features attached cast iron plates. The stone has a square section with a slightly rounded top and is set at an angle to the road. Two faces of the milestone are inscribed with cast iron plates that read 'London 70, Sarum 11' and 'London 70, Andover 6'.
