Description

Ringwold is an early 19th century house of brick construction with a slate roof. It is L-shaped, comprising a four-bay front range and a wing to the rear on the left. The front elevation features four 12-pane sashes with rubbed brick heads above, a first-floor string course, and three 9-pane sashes with rubbed brick heads, with the head of a blocked opening to the right of centre. The roof is hipped and has symmetrical end stacks. The right end of the house has four narrow bays, the road-facing bay having similar sashes, and blocked openings in the adjacent bay. The first-floor string course continues. The far right bay is slightly set back and contains a 20th-century glazed door within an 19th-century doorcase, situated under a porch supported by four Doric columns, topped with a moulded flat hood and a 9-pane sash above.
