Description

This milestone, located at the turning to Roche Court, dates from the 18th century or early 19th century. It is made of limestone and has a triangular-shaped shaft with a sloping top. The milestone features incised lettering that reads "TO SARUM 7 MILES" on the left side and "TO LONDON 75 MILES" on the right side. There is also a bench mark on the top.
