Description
Middleton Manor is a house built in the late 18th century, featuring Flemish brickwork with grooved pointing and a tiled roof. The building has two storeys, an attic, and a cellar. Its facade consists of three bays with a central stair hall and is two rooms deep. The entrance includes a central six-panelled door set in a fluted doorcase with a flat canopy supported by brackets. The doorcase is designed to accommodate two side windows that light the hall. The windows are early 19th-century sixteen-paned sashes with gauged brick lintels, while the first floor has nine-pane single hung windows, with the outer two replaced by casements. Each side elevation has a two-bay return with an inset dormer. The roof is hipped and returns with stacks located between the front and rear rooms, and there is a smaller hipped roof between the side returns at the rear. Inside, the front rooms feature early 19th-century timber and stone fireplaces.
