Description

The barn at Old Manor Farm dates from the 16th to 17th century. It is timber framed, with some sections replaced in blockwork, and features a corrugated iron roof. The structure consists of three bays with aisles that return at the ends. There are doors leading to the central bay, and the roof is hipped. Inside, the barn has jowled posts with braces connecting to ties and arcade plates. The roof includes queen struts to collars and a clasped single purlin design, with principals that are diminished above the purlins.
