Description

Ladymead Cottage is an 18th-century cottage, likely built in the early to mid-1700s. It is constructed of cob, faced with brick, and has a thatched roof. The building is single storey with an attic, featuring a two-bay lobby-entry plan with a staircase situated at the rear of the central stack. A central boarded door is located within a 20th-century gabled porch. The windows are timber casements. The roof is half-hipped, with a central brick stack. Internally, the 19th-century stack has been altered, and the staircase rebuilt. A living room contains a chamfered spine beam with ogee stops. A second room is boxed in. A 20th-century bathroom extension is present at the rear, and a kitchen lean-to to the right.
