Description
This 18th-century milestone is located on the south side of the A30 in Firsdown. It is made of painted limestone and has a triangular section with a sloping top. The milestone features a bold incised inscription that reads "TO SARUM 4 MILES" on the left and "TO LONDON 78 MILES" on the right. There is also a bench mark and pin on the top.
