Description

The granary at Figsbury Farm is a building that dates from the late 17th century or early 18th century and is currently used as a store. It features a timber frame that is weatherboarded and stands on staddles, topped with a thatched roof. The structure consists of five bays and has opposed doors in the central bay. The wall framing includes bressumers and tension braces, with jowled posts and angle braces supporting the internal tie beams. The roof is designed with collar and queen struts, clasped purlins, and diminished principals, and it is half hipped at one end. The weatherboarding was renewed in September 1986.
