Description

This milestone, located 30 meters west of a lay-by on the north side at the top of Green Hill, dates from the early 19th century. It is made of painted stone with a rectangular section and a slightly rounded top. A cast-iron plate is attached to the front, inscribed with the distances to Sarum (14 miles) and Romsey (1 mile).
