Description

Milestone located on the east side of the road, 60 metres south of the entrance to Ranvilles Farm. This milestone dates from the early 19th century and is made of painted stone with an attached cast-iron plate. The stone has a rectangular section and a flat top. The front of the cast-iron plate is inscribed with the distances to Romsey (2 miles) and Ringwood (16 miles).
