Description
Wellow Park House is a house built in the early 19th century for the Nightingale family, with alterations made in the 19th century. The building is constructed of stuccoed brick, with a painted brick addition and a slate roof. It is two storeys high and has five bays, featuring a taller projecting wing at the centre bay on one side and a single storey later wing on the other side.
The entrance front includes a two-storey rectangular bay in front of the left bay, which has a two-light pointed casement on the ground floor and a round window above. A similar arrangement is found in the right bay. In the left of the centre bay, there is a 20th-century door set in a porch topped with a round lead roof. All the windows are adorned with pediment hoods. The building has a moulded cornice beneath a hipped roof, which features a central stack.
The central service wing contains two-light casements and two small lights in the gable, with an end stack. On the garden side, the tall central wing has a half-octagonal end, with pointed two-light casements and French windows on the ground floor, both with hoods, and round windows above, similar to those at the ends.
