Description
Cutters Barn is a pair of cottages, likely originally built as four, dating from the late 18th century. The cottages feature mid-19th century porches and some 20th century minor extensions. The walls are constructed of brick in English bond, with cambered openings and signs of alterations. The roof is thatched with a half-hipped design, and the eaves are raised above the dormers. The symmetrical west front has one storey and an attic, with four casement windows. There are gabled brick porches with arched entrances and wavy bargeboards. Small outshots are located at the north end and rear (south side), both with tiled roofs and brick walls. An incised brick in the rear wall reads "S T 1773."
