Description

This milestone, located on the west side at the top of Pauncefoot Hill, dates from the early 19th century. It is made of painted stone and features an attached cast-iron plate. The stone has a rectangular section with a flat top. The front of the cast-iron plate is inscribed with the distances to Romsey, which is 1 mile away, and Ringwood, which is 17 miles away.
