Description

No. 5, The Causeway is an 18th-century building of two storeys and an attic. It is constructed of brick, with a toothed eaves cornice and a half-hipped roof covered in old tiles. The gable end facing the stream has a single window. The main entrance, on the south-east side, features a six-panel door with an architrave surround and a flat hood supported by cast iron columns at the head of a flight of six steps, which run parallel to the front of the building and have plain rails. Nos. 1 to 7 (odd numbers) form a notable group.
