Description

This is an early 18th century building of two storeys, located on the west side of College Street. It originally had three mid-19th century shop fronts added to the ground floor. The roof is steeply pitched and tiled, with a hipped form. The first floor has six window bays. The window in the first bay is an original 18th century sash window that sits almost flush with the exterior. The windows in the third and sixth bays have been blocked up. The remaining three windows are late 19th century, three-light sashes set within curved brick arches. The front of the building is painted brick, topped with a brick dentil cornice. Number 6 has a six-panel door with a cornice head and a patterned rectangular fanlight, set within a panelled reveal and a reeded architrave. The other doors are contemporary with the shop fronts. Exposed beams are visible inside the building.
