Description
Nos 2 and 4 Dragon Street is a substantial building from the late 18th century, standing three storeys tall and featuring six windows. The structure is made of painted brick and has a vertical brick eaves cornice. It has a hipped slate roof with a moderate pitch and an off-centre chimney with arrises. The second floor has sash windows with glazing bars set in moulded frames. The ground floor shop fronts, which date from the late 19th century, have replaced sash windows with glazing bars in segment-headed recesses that extend down to the cornice. No 4 features a six-panel door topped with a reeded cornice head and a patterned fanlight, all within a modified Doric doorcase that includes fluted pilasters, guilloche moulding on the architrave, a fluted frieze, and a cornice with rounded angles and three modillions.
