Description
No. 36 High Street is an early to mid-19th century house that stands three storeys tall and features three windows. It occupies a significant position at the end of the High Street vista. The house has a hipped slate roof with a moderately low pitch and deep, bracketed eaves. The front is finished in stucco. The central windows on the first and second floors are blocked, while the other windows are restored sashes set in plain reveals. The first floor has recesses adorned with moulded wreaths in tympana. A modern shop front has been added to the ground floor. There are rear extensions that are not of importance. Nos. 34 and 36 form a group with The Red Lion Hotel on College Street.
