Description

This is a late 17th or early 18th century house on the north side of High Street. The front facade is narrow, with three storeys and only one window, constructed of painted brick. It has a hipped tiled roof, the front portion of a larger arrangement of six hipped roof ridges extending to the rear. An early 19th century canted bay window extends through all three storeys to the eaves, featuring late 19th-century sash windows. The entrance is a six-panel door set within a panelled reveal, framed by flat pilasters and an entablature with an open pediment which is covered by tiles. The west wall is tile-hung and contains an early 19th century door. A large, three-light window from the late 18th century is located in the north wall. The interior retains extensive wainscoting. The property is part of a group with numbers 12, 16 to 28 (even), and 28A.
