Description

This building is a store, now incorporated into an electricity substation. It likely dates from the 18th century or earlier, and incorporates a reused 16th-century archway. The exterior is constructed of un-coursed stone with some brick, and has flint side walls featuring a weatherboarded gable to the west. The roof is covered in plain tiles, with a hip on the right-hand side. The building has irregular openings: two upper openings and four lower ones, with one on the right extending to the eaves, containing double boarded doors below and a smaller boarded door above in a weatherboarded opening. A wide, centrally placed segment-headed opening features paired boarded doors. To the left is a boarded door with a concrete lintel, with a recessed brick blocking between it and the central opening. The window surround is significantly weathered, featuring a Tudor-arched head, rosettes in the spandrels, and a guilloche ornamented band above.
