GV II

Gatepiers and garden wall. Early C19, probably lowered C20. Deeply-coursed, dressed sandstone backed by limestone rubble; ashlar copings. Low, convex quadrant walls flank square-sectioned ashlar gate piers with pyramidal caps. Wall steps up to north and lines the pavement to Matlock Street then terminates beyond a garden gateway.
