Description
The boundary wall and gates at Beech Close date from the early 18th century, with extensions made in the early 20th century. The wall is constructed from coursed and squared rubble and brick, featuring ashlar dressings. It has a ramped coping made of brick, moulded brick, and an ashlar slab. On the left side, there is a main gate from 1908, flanked by a pair of square brick piers topped with pyramid caps and ball finials, and a pair of scrolled wrought iron gates. To the left of the gates, there is an oval blank opening, and to the right, there are four square brick piers with stepped caps, along with a blocked gateway. The total length of the wall is approximately 110 meters.
