Description

The water pump at Brunsell Hall, built in 1831, is made of lead and softwood and features a stone trough. It has a rectangular case topped with a stepped cap. The cast lead pump includes a shouldered arch top cistern adorned with a mask and figures, and it is initialled 'SMS 1831'. The pump has a straight iron handle and is supported by a round-cornered stone trough set on 20th-century brick piers. The pump is in working order.
