Description

The Hall is a country house built in 1838 for Reverend J. Girardot, designed in the Tudor Revival style. The structure is made of brick and features patterned plain tile roofs with ashlar dressings. Notable architectural elements include a plinth, ashlar quoins and copings, a first-floor and lintel band, a string course, and coped gables with kneelers. The house has three gable and three ridge stacks that are grouped and partly external.

Windows are cross mullioned casements, and the building is two storeys high with attics, arranged in three bays with an irregular plan. The west front has a projecting central bay with a stepped coped parapet and a four-centred arched doorway. To the left is a projecting two-storey bay, and to its right is a casement window, with two additional casements above. The south front features a central gabled bay with a canted two-storey bay window, flanked by smaller projecting bays. Each floor has three casements, with the central ones being larger. To the right, there is a set-back two-storey service wing with a door and a casement above. The east front has 20th-century fenestration, while the rear elevation includes two projecting wings with lean-to outbuildings between them, a 20th-century flat-roofed garage to the left, and a mix of 19th and 20th-century fenestration.
