Description

The guide post, likely from the 17th century, is located near the junction of early trans-Pennine routes from the Colne Valley in Standedge, Marsden. The post features distinct markings, although they are not legible. A similar guide post can be found at Marsden Manor House nearby, which is currently used as a gate post and is dated 1674.
