Description
The barn at Clark Hill Farm, dating from the late 18th century, is constructed of coursed rubble with quoins and features a pitched stone slate roof. The south elevation has a large central doorway with a deep lintel supported by large padstones, along with stone surrounds and three small ventilation holes. At a high level, there is a deep course of millstone grit. The north elevation also has a large central doorway with a segmental arched head, stone surrounds, and tie-stones, as well as a small doorway with a deep lintel and quoins. The west gable is built into the hillside and has later single openings in the apex. This barn is included for its group value with the nearby farmhouse.
