Description

The guide post, likely from the 18th century, is a tall rectangular stone structure featuring inscriptions on two opposing faces. The east face indicates 'Chesterfield Road', while the west face reads 'Bakewell Road'. This guide post is one of several similar markers located on the edge of the moorland to the west of Chesterfield and southwest of Sheffield.
