2/166 Ivy Cottage - II

Pair of houses now one. C17 with later alterations and addition. Coursed rubble with ashlar quoins and dressings; plain tile roof; brick integral end stack and ridge stacks. Originally T-shaped with 2-cell main range aligned east-west facing south and rear wing aligned north-south, main range extended to the west to form a second 2-cell house. 2 storeys and gable-lit attic; 4 windows, casements, the 2 left hand bays comprise the original house; door to the left with bracketed hood and to the right of centre with massive lintel. Left hand gable: 2-light chamfer mullioned window to ground floor with straight hood mould, blocked circular window. North elevation: one storey; 2-light chamfer mullioned window with straight hood mould to gable end of rear wing to right, blocked lozenge-shaped light above, 2-light mullioned window to right of centre.
