Description
Corner Cottage is a pair of houses that have been combined into one. It dates from the early 19th century and has undergone some later alterations. The building is constructed of brick with stucco dressings and features a gabled slate roof with brick end stacks. It has a two-unit plan.
The exterior consists of two storeys and a two-window range, topped with a cogged brick cornice. The entrance, located to the left of the centre, features a doorcase with a bracketed cornice above a six-fielded-panel door, two of which are glazed. On the ground floor, there are three windows with tile sills and rusticated wedge lintels that have key blocks above. These windows are renewed two-light small-paned casements, with the one to the right of centre being narrower and located in what was formerly an entrance. The first floor has two similar windows. The right side of the building has a blocked first-floor window, while the rear includes five segmental-headed windows, two of which are blocked, above a lean-to outshut that has a blocked entrance and a small-paned casement on the return. There is also a continuous garden wall with an entrance. The interior has not been inspected.
