Description

Tudor Cottage is a house dating from the late 16th or 17th century, with later alterations. The house is constructed of brick, with a first-floor timber frame featuring close studding and painted brick infill. It has a steeply pitched slate roof and a brick end stack. Originally a two-unit plan, the exterior features an entrance on the right with a doorcase enclosing a door with six fielded panels. Ground-floor windows are 2-light casements from the 20th century. Small, 2-light 20th-century casements are also found on the first floor. Wall studs are visible on the left end, and there is bracing on the upper floor. The rear of the property includes a large, single-storey gabled wing from the 19th century, featuring an exposed king-post truss over a 20th-century casement and a garage door. The interior was not inspected.
