Description
Clockmaker's Cottage is a house located on Southam Street in Kineton, dating from the 17th century with 19th-century alterations and additions. The building is constructed of coursed dressed blue lias limestone with a plastered plinth and features a renewed tile roof with brick end stacks. It has a two-unit plan and stands two storeys high plus an attic, presenting a symmetrical two-window range.
The entrance is marked by a timber lintel above a six-panel door, of which two panels are glazed, set in a heavy frame. On the ground floor, there are canted bay windows topped with cornices, featuring 2/2 horned sashes and side sashes. The first floor has windows with timber lintels above three-light casements that include iron opening casements. The roof is gabled and there are two 20th-century flat-roofed dormers, each with two-light casements. The interior has not been inspected.
