Description

Gibbs Cottage is a pair of houses located on Southam Street in Kineton, dating from the 18th century with later alterations. The exterior features coursed blue lias rubble set on a 20th-century blue brick plinth, with narrower upper courses made of lighter-colored limestone. The building has a steeply pitched renewed tile roof with coped gables and brick end stacks, and it follows a 2-unit plan.

The cottage is two storeys plus an attic and has a three-window range. The entrance is to the left of center and features a timber lintel over a six-panel door, two of which are glazed. To the right end, there is another entrance with a timber lintel over a 20th-century door. On the ground floor, there are two windows with timber lintels above two-light casements; the left window has an iron opening casement, while the right has a 20th-century casement. The first floor has similar windows, with two featuring iron opening casements and one with a 20th-century casement. There are also two renewed gabled roof dormers. At the rear, there is a 20th-century single-storey wing. The interior has not been inspected.
