Description
Pilgrim Cottage, located on Southam Street in Kineton, is a house that has been divided into two residences. It dates from the late 17th century to early 18th century and has undergone some later alterations. The building is constructed of coursed dressed blue lias limestone with ironstone dressings and features brick at the wall head. It has a partially renewed gabled tile roof with brick end stacks and follows a two-unit plan.
The exterior of Pilgrim Cottage is two storeys high and has a two-window range. It features an ironstone plinth and quoins. The central entrance is topped with a large stone lintel above a 20th-century door, and there is a similar entrance at the right end. On the ground floor, there are windows with large stone keyed lintels, including a 20th-century bow window on the left and a bay window with 20th-century glazing on a canted ashlar plinth to the right. The first floor has windows with timber lintels above two-light small-paned casements. The interior has not been inspected.
