Description

A terrace of four houses located in Kineton, built around 1830. The houses are constructed of brick with buff brick headers, and have gabled slate roofs with a brick end stack and three cross-axial stacks. Each house follows a single-unit plan.

The exterior is three storeys high with a four-window arrangement. The entrances are positioned to the right of the windows and feature simply moulded doorcases with bracketed canopies, sheltering four-panel doors; the doors to numbers 2 and 3 are half-glazed. The ground floor has canted bay windows to numbers 1 and 4, with cornices above small-paned fixed windows. Windows on the ground floor to numbers 2 and 3 have brick flat arches over two-pane casements. Similar casement windows are found on the first floor, while the second-floor windows have two-light casements. The left return features an asymmetrical gable and a canted bay window. The rear elevation is a mix of stone and brick, incorporating a gabled wing to the right end. The group value of the cottages lies in their contribution to the streetscape. The interior has not been inspected.
