Description
Lilac Cottage is a house located in Market Square, Kineton, dating from around 1820. It is constructed of brick in Flemish bond with buff headers and features stucco dressings. The roof is slate, with a brick end stack and a cross-axial stack. The cottage has a double-fronted plan and boxed eaves.
The entrance includes a doorcase with pilasters, a frieze, and a deep cornice above a half-glazed door. To the right on the ground floor, there is a large window with a sill, pilasters, and a deep cornice above small-paned glazing that includes a top-hung light, likely a former shop window. The other windows have sills and rusticated wedge lintels with keys above 2-light small-paned casements. The interior has not been inspected.
