Description

This barn, located west of Booth Farmhouse, was built in 1715. It is constructed of coursed gritstone rubble with gritstone dressings, and has an asbestos sheet roof. The east-facing elevation features a large central opening with a wooden lintel. A depressed stone arch originally spanned this opening, but this was replaced in the early 20th century, though a reused keystone from 1715 is visible in the jambs of the current opening. The barn has a queen strut roof. The building is listed for its group value, contributing to the significance of the surrounding agricultural landscape.
