Description
Tunstead Clough is a house dating from the early 19th century, constructed from coursed, squared, dressed gritstone with gritstone dressings. It features a stone slate roof that includes two roof lights and has ashlar gable end stacks. The gables are stone coped and have moulded kneelers.
The house is two storeys plus attics and has a double fronted elevation. The central entrance features a semi-circular headed doorcase with a moulded architrave, and the imposts and keystone are decorated with a lozenge motif. There is a six-panelled door with a plain fanlight above it. Flanking the entrance are glazing bar sash windows with flush stone surrounds, a plain stone sill band, and three similar windows located above.
In front of the house, there is an attached stone garden wall, which includes stout square gatepiers topped with shallow pyramids. The entrance features simple iron gates with arrow head finials.
