Description

Stones House is a farmhouse, now a house, dated 1771. It is constructed from coursed gritstone rubble with quoins and features flush gritstone dressings. The roof is made of stone slate and there is a stone gable end stack. The building has two storeys and a double fronted elevation. On the north elevation, there is a central doorcase with large jambs and a lintel, flanked by three-light flush mullion windows on either side. Above these, there are two similar windows. A datestone between the windows is inscribed 'Thomas and Mary Hall / 1771'. At the rear, there are two partly blocked flush mullion weavers windows.
