Description

SHERSTON KNOCKDOWN, Tetbury ST 88 NE 3/133 Barn to the south-east of Barn Farmhouse II

Barn. Dated 1752 (on south gable). Coursed rubble with flush rusticated dressed stone quoins, stone dressings to midstrey jambs and ventilation slits and gable stone slate roof. Cruciform in plan of 5 bays with east and west midstreys with 2-leaf plank doors and hipped roofs. Cambered-headed openings to north and south end walls. Interior. Cambered-headed arches to midstreys and butt- purlin, collar and tie-beam roof structure with all rafters renewed.
