Description
The Old Vicarage is a former vicarage that has been converted into a detached house. It likely has a core that dates back to the 17th century, with alterations and additions made in the mid-18th century and 19th century. The building features coursed rubble with flush rusticated dressed stone quoins on the 17th and 18th century sections, while the 19th century wing is made of squared and coursed rubble. It has stone dressings and stone slate roofs, including a mansard roof on the 18th century range. There are end brick stacks on the 18th century block and stone stacks elsewhere. The building has a U-shaped plan, with the core range aligned parallel to the churchyard, the 18th century block parallel to the road, and the rear 19th century wing. The south front has two storeys and an attic, featuring five windows. All windows are 2-light, 2-pane 19th century casements with keyed lintels, and there is similar window design on the three hipped dormers. The ground floor includes a bay window on the left, a central gabled porch, and a six-panel door with four glazed panels.
